Hi All,
This guide is for when someone needs to use a floater laptop for any reason. The laptops can be found inside the tech room, sitting on the middle desk:
Preferably, you would want to take either of the two laptops in the front (The middle laptop, or the laptop on the right). The other laptops are known to have issues and must be taken if those two are not available. Now, in order to properly use them, certain steps much be taken:
1) Keep note of the name of the laptop/machine. The name will appear on the sticky-note that is attached to the laptop.
2) Submit a ticket on Freshdesk about needing access to your account on said laptop; BE SURE TO TYPE IN THE FULL NAME OF THE LAPTOP IN THE DESCRIPTION OF YOUR TICKET. This way, a technician can attach your account to it remotely.
3) When using the laptop, allow someone from IT to remote into the laptop so they can set up your Anzio profile in case you need access to it.
4) When taking the laptop, be sure to take its charger as well. Return the laptop when you no longer need it, and let the IT Team know so they can confirm it was returned.
