Scanner Not Responding / Not Connected

Here are several steps to take to solve this issue: Note that each "step" is its own, separate solution and you should continue to the next step if the last one didn't work.


  1. Unplug the scanner and then plug it back it. Make sure the plugs are fully connected. Once back on, check to see if it is working.
  2.  Try turning off the scanner and turning it back on (unplug the power cable), then check if it's working.
  3.  Try turning off the computer and turning it back on. Then, check if it's working.

  4. Check if the scanner shows as connected in "Printers & Scanners" If the scanner doesn't connect after these steps, there may be a bigger issue with the scanner itself. At this point, send a ticket in to get help from a technician.
