Here are several steps to take to solve this issue: Note that each "step" is its own, separate solution and you should continue to the next step if the last one didn't work.
- Unplug the scanner and then plug it back it. Make sure the plugs are fully connected. Once back on, check to see if it is working.
- Try turning off the scanner and turning it back on (unplug the power cable), then check if it's working.
- Try turning off the computer and turning it back on. Then, check if it's working.
- Check if the scanner shows as connected in "Printers & Scanners" If the scanner doesn't connect after these steps, there may be a bigger issue with the scanner itself. At this point, send a ticket in to get help from a technician.
